realme Buds Air 3 Neo and Wireless 2S release: 11.2mm drivers, Bluetooth 5.3 and IPX5 rating from ~RM84

realme announced a slew of new products yesterday including the realme Watch 3 and the realme 23.8-inch desktop monitor. Besides that, the Chinese tech company also released two new audio devices, the realme Buds Air 3 Neo as well as the realme Buds Wireless 2S, both of which we will be delving in-depth in this article.

According to the realme India official website, the Buds Air 3 Neo features a 10mm dynamic driver with a composite diaphragm. realme claims that the driver can enhance the bass, mids and highs of your music, which is further supplemented with Dolby Atmos sound which can be tuned via the realme Link app.

Furthermore, there is also support for AAC codec, AI-powered noise cancellation for calls and thanks to its Bluetooth 5.2 specification, there is also an 88ms low-latency mode and fast pairing with supported devices. As for the charging case, it has a rounded capsule look and on the inside, a ‘curved lip’ allows for easier access to the buds.

In terms of the earbuds’ design, realme said that they fit better in the ear and was made using an NCVM vacuum coating process that gives them a premium glossy look. It’s also lightweight too at just 4g and is equipped with an IPX5 rating which protects the earbuds from sweat and water splashes.

realme claims that the Buds Air 3 Neo can last 7 hours of music playback without needing to top up charge from its case. When paired together with its case, the total listening time is 30 hours with the Dart Charge capabilities allowing for 2 hours of playback in just 10 minutes of charging. Charging from zero to full will take around 2 hours.

Meanwhile, the Buds Wireless 2S has a wired neckband design and features a 11.2mm drivers with a composite diaphragm. The earbuds supports Dirac Real HD Sound, Ai-powered noise reduction for calls, Bluetooth 5.3, 88ms low-latency mode and AAC codec playback.

Weighing 24g, the Buds Wireless 2S has a slightly lower IPX4 rating as well as magnets at the back of both earbuds so that you can snap them securely together around your neck. In terms of battery life, realme claims up to 24 hours of music playback and faster charging speeds, whereby 20 minutes of charge can get you additional 7 hours of listening time.

The Buds Wireless 2S is available for purchase in India starting today for a retail price of INR1500 or ~RM84. As for the Buds Air 3 Neo, it will be on sale in India starting tomorrow for INR2000 or ~RM112. As of the time or writing, realme has yet to reveal whether both audio devices will be available in other regions beside India.
