Yesterday, realme Malaysia just launched a new entry-level in the Malaysian market called the realme C21Y. At the price of RM549, it is noted that this is realme's first phone to be equipped with a Unisoc T610 octa-core 12nm processor. So yes, it's a low-tier device but maybe not as low as you think.
According to realme, the Unisoc T610 chipset can connect 5G and is good enough for both mobile gaming (perhaps in low settings only) and processor imaging. Accompanying the chipset is 4GB of RAM, 64GB ROM and a 6.5-inch mini drop fullscreen in HD+ resolution. The display happens to be certified by TÜV Rheinland as well.
At the front, there is a 5MP front camera whereas the triple rear camera module consists of a 13MP main sensor with Super Nightscape Mode and a Chroma Boost feature. Like any entry-level phone, the C21Y has a mega 5000mAh battery that can use reverse charging. Other notable features include a triple SIM card slot, realme UI based on Android 11 and Super Power Saving Mode.
By the way, realme Malaysia will be launching a realme Fan Festival 2021 soon from 18 August until 28 August 2021. We are expecting lots of promotion details soon so stay tuned for that news at TechNave.com.
