Following the announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 news by Qualcomm, realme has confirmed that its upcoming GT 8 Pro flagship will be available in Malaysia, and it may very well be the first smartphone in the country powered by Qualcomm’s brand-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.

Qualcomm’s Most Powerful Chip Yet

The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 is built on TSMC’s advanced N3p 3nm process node and introduces a new 2+6 octa-core architecture with clock speeds reaching 4.61 GHz. Qualcomm touts it as its fastest, most efficient mobile chipset to date, engineered to handle demanding workloads with greater energy efficiency.

On the performance front, the GT 8 Pro is already turning heads with an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 4 million, placing it firmly in the elite tier of Android flagships. You can read more about it in our news coverage here.

AI-Boosted Gaming and Multitasking

realme is pairing Qualcomm’s powerhouse with its in-house Hyper Vision+ AI Chip and GT BOOST 3.0 energy scheduling system, designed to optimise performance across heavy workloads. According to the company, this phone can reportedly run two high-demand games like PUBG and Genshin Impact simultaneously at high frame rates for up to an hour.

Launch Date?

This would mark the second consecutive GT flagship to debut Qualcomm’s top-tier platform in Malaysia, following last year’s GT 7 Pro launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite. More details on pricing, availability, and full specifications are expected soon. Stay tuned for the official news announcement only at TechNave.com.
