realme GT 8 Pro will reportedly feature a massive 8000mAh battery with 80W charging

Fresh from the release of the realme GT 7 Pro in China last month, it looks like realme isn’t resting on its laurels and have begun testing for its successor, the realme GT 8 Pro. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station recently took to Weibo to reveal that the company is allegedly testing batteries for the device, so read on to learn more. 

According to the tipster, realme will be putting a larger battery on the GT 8 Pro, despite the GT 7 Pro already sporting a massive 6500mAh cell. Specifically, realme is testing three separate battery and charging speed configurations for the GT 8 Pro.

These include a 7000mAh battery with 120W charging (42 minutes for full charge), 7500mAh battery with 100W charging (55 minutes for full charge), and a whopping 8000mAh battery with 80W charging (70 minutes for full charge). Digital Chat Station added that these are the battery research that realme is currently doing for the GT 8 Pro and other next-gen flagships.
