realme GT Neo 5 SE release: SD 7+ Gen 2, 5500mAh battery and 144Hz AMOLED from ~RM1345

As we’ve alluded to previously, realme has released the realme GT Neo 5 SE, its latest mid-range smartphone offering in China. The world’s second Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2-powered device, read on below to know its specs and features. 

According to realme’s official Weibo account, the GT Neo 5 SE features a 6.74-inch 144Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels. There’s also an optical fingerprint scanner embedded under the display.

The screen sports a punch-hole cutout which houses the 16MP selfie camera. Speaking of which, the GT Neo 5 SE has a 64MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP microscope triple-camera setup at its rear. 

Under the hood, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC is paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. The battery is a massive 5500mAh cell with support for 100W fast charging.

Other notable specs include Android 13 via realme UI 4.0, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, dual SIM and colour options of blue and black. In China, the GT Neo 5 SE starts at CNY2099 or ~RM1345 for the 8/256GB variant and goes all the way to CNY2799 or ~RM1793 for the 16GB/1TB model.
