Last night, the realme GT Neo 5 finally made its debut in China. Now labelled as the fastest charging phone in the world with 240W, below are the rest of the tech specs that you should know about.
As the main highlight, realme GT Neo 5's 240W fast charging technology is the industry's first 12A custom charging cable, and the world's first 240W dual GaN mini charger. Equipped with a 4600mAh 10C ultra-thin electrode battery, it's also the first phone with 200W and above charging power to be certified by TÜV Rheinland regarding battery longevity.
To add on, realme claims that the new battery technology offers more than 80% battery capacity after a 1600 charging cycle, double the industry standard. The certification also sees over 60 layers of safety protection to ensure a safe and healthy charging system. There is also another realme GT Neo 5 variant with a 150W charging speed and a slightly bigger battery.
In terms of tech specs, the realme GT Neo 5 features a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 16GB of RAM, and either 256GB or 1TB of storage. Its AMOLED display is 6.74 inches with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1500Hz touch sampling rate. Additionally, there is a triple rear camera consisting of 50MP (main) + 8MP (ultrawide) + 2MP (macro), whereas the front camera is 16MP.
Besides that, the phone also has a new RGB Lighting System that was teased days ago. According to realme, the RGB Lighting System can be personalized with tons of lighting effects for charging, gaming, notifications and more. Finally, the realme GT Neo 5 starts from 3199 Yuan (~RM2038) for the 16GB + 256GB model and 3499 Yuan (~RM2229) for the 16GB + 1TB model.
By the way, it's confirmed that the realme GT NEO 5 is coming to Malaysia soon but the global version product name will be called the realme GT3. On top of that, realme Malaysia is going to give away a few realme 10 phones during its launch event on FB livestream, which is launching in Malaysia on 13 February 2023.
