If you're a realme fan, you are probably aware that the realme GT 2 or realme 9i are going to be released soon. The phones has been teased for a few days already and either one might feature a new Snapdragon 680 chipset.
According to realme Malaysia, the Snapdragon 680 is a 6nm processor and it's a much-improved chipset than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 662. In comparison, the SD680 is reportedly 46% better in performance and consumes 62% less power. The company also promises that the upcoming new phones featuring this chipset will be around RM1000 more or less.
All in all, the SD680 chipset is set to offer performance upgrades such as faster launch speed, "cooler" performance, and smoother gameplay. It is also noted that the unannounced realme phone will be the first in Malaysia to be launched with the new aforementioned chipset. Anyway, we are betting that it's probably the realme 9i featuring the new chipset as it serves as a mid-range tier device.
Full launch details of this new realme smartphone will be announced very soon. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
