realme has quietly released a mid-range 5G smartphone in China, the realme V23i 5G. Featuring a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD display with a resolution of HD+, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC under the hood.
According to the official realme Chinese website, there is only one variant of the device, which has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Thankfully, there’s a microSD card slot for additional storage.
As for the battery, the V23i has a 5000mAh cell, though its charging speed support was not mentioned. Camera-wise, there’s an 8MP shooter housed inside the teardrop notch of the display at the front and a 13MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup at the back.
Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 12 OS via realme UI 3.0, USB-C and a colour option of either Mountain Blue or Jade Black. In China, the V23i is priced at CNY1999 or ~RM1266 and realme has yet to reveal whether the device will be sold outside of the country.
