realme V50 and V50s release - Dimensity 6100+ SoC and 120Hz LCD from ~RM782

realme has launched two new smartphones in the affordable segment in China, the realme V50 and realme V50s. Sharing the same specs and a low price point, read on to find out more about the devices. 

As shared by GizmoChina, both feature the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ SoC paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery on both, though the charging speeds weren’t mentioned.

Display-wise, they have a 6.72-inch 120Hz LCD with a resolution of FHD+ and 680 nits peak brightness. The screen also sports a punch-hole cutout at the top centre, housing an 8MP selfie shooter, which is complemented at the rear with a 13MP main camera paired with a secondary sensor. 

Other notable specs include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, Android 13 via realme UI 4.0 and colour options of either Purple Dawn or Midnight Black. The only difference between the two is that the V50 is carrier-locked in China while the V50s is unlocked.

In China, the V50 is priced at CNY1199 or ~RM782 for 6/128GB and CNY1399 or ~RM913 for 8/256GB, while the V50s is priced at CNY1499 or ~RM978 (6/128GB) and CNY1799 or ~RM1174 (8/256GB).
