realme narzo 50 and 50A Prime Malaysia release: 6.6-inch 120Hz display, 5000mAh battery and early bird price from RM529

realme during its livestream event today announced the release of two new entry-level smartphones in Malaysia, the narzo 50 and narzo 50A Prime. Designed specifically for ‘Generation Z’, both smartphones provide comprehensive user experience for the devices’ target audience.

For the narzo 50, it is powered by a MediaTek Helio G96 processor that has two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores with up to 2.05GHz clock speed. Furthermore, it also has either 4GB or 6GB of RAM and utilises realme’s DRE technology that allows for up to 11GB RAM expansion by turning its ROM into virtual RAM.

The most eye-catching feature has got to be its 6.6-inch screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, the screen also has a touch sampling rate of up to 180Hz, befitting of a smartphone that is aimed at mobile gamers.

Camera-wise, the narzo 50 is equipped with a 50MP primary + 2MP macro + 2MP depth triple-camera setup at its rear that is capable of 4x digital zoom and a special B&W lens for artistic effects. On its front, it has a 16MP shooter.

Completing the specs list are a 5000mAh battery capable of 33W Dart Charge, an ultrafast side fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C and a mircoSD slot.

The narzo 50 comes in two colour options of either Speed Black or Speed Blue with both sporting a Kevlar Speed Texture Design by realme. The device is offered in two variants in Malaysia, a 4/G4GB version at RM699 and a 6/128GB version at RM799. Read until the end of this article to find out a special early bird sale promotion.

As for the narzo 50A Prime, it is powered by the Unisoc T612 processor that features an octa-12 core 12nm processor that clocks up to 2.0Ghz and adopts the Cortex-A75 structure. Moreover, the device also sports 4GB of RAM.

As for the display, it’s rocking a 6.6-inch FHD display with a screen ration of 90.7%. As for cameras, the narzo 50A Prime has a 50MP primary + 2MP macro + 0.13MP depth triple-camera setup.

It also sports a B&W lens and a 4x digital zoom similar to the narzo 50. At its front, the narzo 50A Prime offers an 8MP front shooter.

Other notable features include a 5000mAh battery that supports up to 18W charging, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microSD slot.

The narzo 50A Prime comes in two colours, either in Flash Black or Flash Blue that sports a Dynamic Glowing design. It retails for RM629 for the 4/G4GB version and RM679 for the 4/128GB variant.

For both devices, realme is offering an early bird sale with its partners Shopee and Lazada. If you’re keen on getting the narzo 50, you can get an early bird price of only RM649 for the 4/64GB variant and RM729 for the 6/128GB version on realme Malaysia’s Official Online Store on Lazada from 27 to 29 March.
