At the end of August, realme was teasing a 10000mAh battery phone with a Chill Fan feature. It was hyped to be a prototype device, but we may be seeing it available as soon as next year. It was reported that the brand is now preparing a retail-ready version.
From Concept to Reality
While the prototype wowed tech watchers with its slim profile and high capacity, realme VP Chase Xu confirmed that the commercial version won’t arrive in 2025—but it’s coming “fairly soon.” The device may build on the realme Chill Fan Phone concept, which debuted at the 828 Fan Festival, featuring a built-in cooling fan and Peltier element for thermoelectric cooling.
The prototype was measured at just 8.5mm thick and weighed 215g. On top of that, realme also showcased a 15000mAh concept device, hinting at even more ambitious battery tech in the pipeline.
Stepping Stones: 7500mAh Model Coming First
Before the 10000mAh milestone, realme is expected to launch a 7500mAh phone later this year. The brand already offers several models with 7000mAh batteries and two with 7200mAh capacities—the Neo7 Turbo and GT7 in China. The upcoming 7500mAh device will serve as a stepping stone toward ultra-endurance smartphones designed for heavy users, gamers, and travellers.
What It Means for the Market
If realme delivers on its promise, the 10000mAh phone could shift expectations for battery life across the industry. With slimmer designs and smarter cooling systems, high-capacity phones may no longer be bulky or niche. Instead, they could become the new standard for users who demand multi-day performance without compromise.
Battery has always been one of the most sought-after features on phones for consumers in Malaysia. realme is definitely banking on this one, and the future looks bright. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
