The realme GT 5 could arrive sooner than we think. According to realme’s president Xu Qi, the new smartphone could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and come very soon. That said, what should you know about the upcoming model?

Xu Qi drops a poster for the realme GT 5 on Weibo. According to Xu Qi’s poster, it says “Why haven’t any of the over 30 second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship models truly reached the pinnacle of performance?”. Plus, the leaker Digital Chat Station claims that the GT 5 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and 24GB of RAM. It could also support 240W charging.

But it does not end there, the leaker says this phone could come with a 1.5K resolution display (OLED) that supports high-frequency dimming. Based on the rumours, the realme GT 5 could feature 16GB or 24GB of LPDDR5x RAM. You can also choose between 128GB, 256GB, 512GB or 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

We have yet to confirm when this phone will be released. But given the news and leaks, we assumed it could arrive in China at the end of this month. If you are a realme fan in Malaysia, you might have to wait a while.
