vivo G2 5G release - Dimensity 6020 SoC & 90Hz LCD from ~RM788

vivo has released a new affordable smartphone in China, the vivo G2 5G. Featuring some compelling specs at an under ~RM1000 price, read on to find out about the device. 

Under the hood, the G2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC paired with 4, 6 or 8GB RAM and 128 or 256GB storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W charging via the USB-C port.

Display-wise, it’s a 6.56-inch 90Hz IPS LCD screen with an HD+ resolution and a water-drop notch housing the 5MP selfie shooter. Meanwhile, the main camera at the rear is a 13MP camera paired with a secondary shooter. 

Other notable specs include 5G connectivity, dual SIM, Android 13 via Origin OS 3, a 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth 5.1 and a singular colour option of Deep Space Black. In China, the G2 5G starts at CNY1199 or ~RM788 for the base 4/128GB version and goes all the way to CNY1899 or ~RM1248 for 8/256GB.
