This year, vivo is expected to bring the NEX flagship smartphone back by introducing the vivo NEX 5. Before it happens, we've received new information claiming that the device will not only feature the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, but it will also sport a gigantic display.
According to the source, the vivo NEX 5 will ship with a 7-inch E5 AMOLED display, and it'll also be a curved one. 7-inch was considered a tablet's size back in the days, but it's now a pretty usual spec for a smartphone. Besides that, it's claimed to offer QHD+ resolution, and it will be an LTPO 2.0 display with an adaptive refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz. There will also be support for 1,500 nits of peak brightness.
Not only that it'll get a stunning display, but the performance of the device will also be on the standard with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. vivo will utilize LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 3.1 flash storage as well. There should be an 8GB RAM model with 256GB of storage and a 12GB RAM variant with 256GB and 512GB storage options.
