Well, looks like someone got way too excited about the vivo NEX. Officially scheduled to launch on next Monday (23 July 2018), the RM2799 was first leaked online by DirectD a few hours ago but it seems that the price has already disappeared. But what comes online stays online, so somewhere else in Malaysia, a vivo store in AEON Mall Kuching also leaked out the price with a pre-order form.
If the vivo AEON Mall Kuching pre-order form is following the same as DirectD, customers would need to pay a deposit of RM100 first. This is according to DirectD's page, as they will have to pay the rest of balance after pick-up or shipment. Not only that, the website also listed the official NEX sale on 28 July 2018 which is a Saturday, along with a 1-year warranty from vivo Malaysia. It's also interesting to note that the vivo AEON Mall Kuching's Facebook post was dated 18 July 2018 and it has not been taken down yet. So either it's the real deal, or it has not picked up traffic to be spotted yet.

If vivo Malaysia is really throwing that price, this could challenge the more expensive OPPO Find X with similar specs and features.
