vivo first dropped a teaser for its next phone last week but now we're getting the details right from the horse's mouth. The vivo S6 will be announced officially on 31 March 2020, with the launch set to be held on 7:30 pm local time online. This is expected to be a 5G device that's equipped with a Qualcomm chipset.

The news broke yesterday when vivo uploaded a teaser poster on Weibo with the date. According to GSMArena, the vivo S6 is supposed to be an upgraded vivo S5 with 5G. If that's the case, we can expect this to be a variant with better specs. For instance, vivo may go for a Snapdragon 765 5G chipset here for the 5G connectivity. The other specs would probably be the same, however, including the 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display.

Another feature that's rumoured to be different is the front camera. Leaker Digital Chat Station has recently revealed a picture of a device with dual-selfie cameras, which many believe belongs to the vivo S6. In comparison, the vivo S5 comes with just one camera on the front.

Since the launch is still over 10 days away, we can probably expect to see more leaks and teasers in the coming days. The vivo S5 was never launched here but hopefully, this model manages to make its way to Malaysia! Do let us know on our Facebook!
