We have been writing some news about the vivo S9 for quite some time now, but there was no official release date until today. That's changed now as the company just released a new video teaser of the phone which will release on 3 March 2021 in China first.

As usual, the S9 will continue its self-focus features with the company's trademark Night Soft Light Selfie that was mentioned in the teaser. It's already known that the phone is featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 1100 chipset and there could be another lesser variant called the vivo S9e, which uses a Dimensity 820 chipset. There could be 12GB of RAM as well.

Since it's a selfie-focused smartphone, the front camera is using a big 44MP sensor whereas the back is using a 64MP dual camera setup. The 6.44-inch display is said to be supporting up to a 90Hz refresh rate, as well as using a 4000mAh battery pack with 33W fast-charging technology and OriginOS based on Android 11.

If you're wondering who's the person in the image, she's known as Lisa from BLACKPINK. There's a good chance that vivo will import the S9 into the Malaysian market too. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
