vivo T1 5G could launch on 9 Feb 2022 with Snapdragon 690, live shots leaked online

A lot of leaked renders that appear online are pretty spot on, as they might be based on actual marketing images. However, sometimes devices with the same name can look different (don't ask us why). For example, the vivo T1 series spotted last year look rather different from the ones seen in some new leaks.

The tipster Ishan Agarwal recently revealed some live photos of the vivo T1 5G. As you can see, the device's rear camera module is larger than the one spotted in last year's renders. Both models have three cameras at the back, though the sizes aren't the same. On top of that, the vivo T1 5G has a slightly different LED flash, and a simple '5G' label etched to the right of the cameras. There are also some photos taken with the phone by @stufflistings.

Based on various sources, this vivo T1 5G is not the same as the vivo T1launched in China last year, which explains the difference in design. But aside from the cameras, the hardware inside is also different. While both come with 5G support, the vivo T1 5G is expected to use a less powerful Snapdragon 690 chipset (vs Snapdragon 778). It could also come with less base RAM at 4GB, a smaller 6.58-inch Full HD+ display (120Hz), and a 50MP main camera (vs 64MP).

In other words, the global vivo T1 5G can be considered a weaker vivo T1 but could come at a lower price point. Just a wild guess, so take this with a grain of salt. With that said, what do you think of the design? Could this be a budget smartphone you'd be interested to buy? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news about it.
