vivo T2 5G series release: 90Hz AMOLED and SD 695 SoC from ~RM699

vivo has released a couple of new phones in India under its T2 5G series, the vivo T2 5G and vivo T2x 5G. Read on to find out more about both mid-range devices. 

First up, the T2 5G is the more powerful out of the two and features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G SoC under the hood paired with either 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It also sports a 4500mAh battery with support for 44W charging via the USB-C port.

As for the display, the T2 5G has a 6.38-inch 90Hz AMOLED panel with a Full HD+ resolution and 1300 nits peak brightness. Moreover, the display has a water-drop notch which houses the 16MP selfie camera. 

As for the main camera setup at its rear, the device has a 64MP main camera with OIS and EIS paired with a 2MP depth sensor and an LED flash. Other notable specs include an in-display fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, Android 13 via FuntouchOS 13 and colour options of either Nitro Blaza or Velocity Wave.

Moving towards the T2x 5G, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6020 SoC paired with either 4 or 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery is a 5000mAh cell with support for 18W using the USB-C port. 

The device sports a 6.58-inch 60Hz LCD panel with a resolution of Full HD+ with a water-drop notch. The latter houses the 8MP selfie camera while at the back, the T2x 5G has a 50MP main + 2MP depth dual-camera setup.

Besides that, the smartphone has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 13 via Funtouch OS 13, 5G connectivity and colour options of either Glimmer Black, Aurora Gold or Marine Blue. 

In India, the T2x 5G starts from INR12999 or ~RM699 (4/128GB) all the way to INR15999 or ~RM861 (8/128GB). Meanwhile, the T2 5G starts from INR18999 or ~RM1022 (6/128GB) all the way to INR20999 or ~RM1130 (8/128GB).
