vivo V11 has been out for quite some time now and vivo Malaysia has been pumping out quite a few advertisements on their YouTube channel. While most of the features shown aren't anything that we have never seen, there is a particular one that caught out attention which is the AI Low Light Mode.
According to the commercial, the AI Low Light Mode is what the name suggests - taking photos in a low light environment without looking so grainy. How this can be achieved is the V11's AI algorithms capturing multiple frames and then combine them, creating a balanced photo that's not so dark and bright at the same time. We haven't tested this feature out yet. On paper, it sounds pretty good but we also wonder how does this play out with the Dual Pixel technology that absorbs light in the low light environment, perhaps the AI Low Light Mode's job is to balance the lighting.
In addition to that, the AI Backlight HDR also capture multiple frames then release the final image with the best result, something that we are familiar with on the X21 device. AI Scene Recognition is also on board so by theory, it should produce pretty great photos with the 12MP + 5MP dual rear camera.
