vivo V40 5G release - SD 7 Gen 3, 80W charging & 5500mAh battery from ~RM3037

The vivo V40 5G has just been released in Europe, the latest variant of the v40 series. Featuring some competitive specs in its class, read on to learn more. 

The V40 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Under the hood, there’s also a 5500mAh battery which supports 80W charging via the USB-C port.

Display-wise, it’s a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED with a 2800 x 1260 pixels resolution and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 50MP selfie shooter. At the rear, there’s a 50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide dual-camera setup. 

Other notable specs include an IP68 rating, 5G connectivity, Android 14 via Funtouch OS 14, an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM and colour options of either Stellar Silver or Nebula Purple. The V40 5G starts at EUR599 or ~RM3037 in Europe, with availability in other markets not yet revealed.
