The vivo V50 launched last week is a mid-range camera phone with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It was also previously reported that a vivo V50e would launch soon with somewhat different specs. On top of that, a vivo V50 Lite 4G has been spotted online.
The vivo V50 Lite 4G was spotted on the official vivo Turkey website with a price tag of TRY 18999 (~RM2303). At a glance, the difference between the standard and Lite model is apparent. While the vivo V50 has two 50MP cameras squeezed together on the top-left, resulting in a more compact rear camera module, the vivo V50 Lite 4G has its 50MP and 2MP cameras in separate 'compartments'. In addition, the latter has flat sides.
Spec-wise, this lite 4G variant features the old but popularly used Snapdragon 685 chipset. Like the base model, it has 256GB of storage but less RAM at 8GB. The screen is the same 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the 4G model has a large 6500mAh battery. Besides that, the vivo V50 Lite 4G has IP65 dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H drop resistance, and a 32MP front camera.
Overall, the vivo V50 Lite feels more of a sidegrade than a downgrade, sacrificing some performance in exchange for a larger battery. No official launch date or price for Malaysia yet, so stay tuned to TechNave for more updates.
