As we’ve reported previously, vivo Malaysia today launched its latest smartphone offering for the local market, the vivo V50. Touted as the company’s “most advanced portrait flagship smartphone to date”, read on to learn more about the device.
Under the hood, the V50 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and accompanied by a couple of memory variants. It has 8GB and 12GB of RAM, as well as 128GB, 256GB and 512GB of storage. The display is quite big as well, sporting 6.77 inches and it uses an AMOLED panel with an in-display optical fingerprint sensor.
Meanwhile, the rear camera setup is a 50MP (OIS) Main + 50MP ultrawide. The front camera is 50MP too, and all the lenses are ZEISS'.
Battery-wise, it’s a massive 6,000mAh BlueVolt cell with support for 90W FlashCharge technology. Other notable specs include Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Other features that are worth mentioning are the dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance rating, and colour options of either Ancora Red, Mist Purple or Satin Black.
V50 will be available in Malaysia starting from RM1899 (8/256GB) in an online exclusive deal. Meanwhile, the other variants are priced at RM 1999 (12GB/256GB) and RM 2399 (12GB/512GB). Consumers can also take advantage of the following purchase options:

- Customers can get the vivo V50 (12+512) for free when they sign up for Maxis Postpaid 199
- A complimentary DJI OSMO MOBILE SE will be given with each pre-order, while stocks last.
Trade-in Promotion
- Promotion Period: March 22 – April 30, 2025
- Available at all vivo concept stores
- Customers who trade in selected smartphone models and purchase a vivo V50 will receive an additional discount of up to RM400.
PWP vivo Watch 3 Promotion
- Promotion Period: March 22 – April 30, 2025
- Available at all vivo concept stores
- Customers who purchase the vivo V50 and add on the vivo Watch 3 will enjoy a 30% discount on the smartwatch.
