The vivo V60 first launched last August, but its predecessor isn't waiting too long for an official release. vivo has confirmed that the vivo V70 series is launching first in India in February 2026. There will also be a new 'Elite' model this time.
Core specs
According to vivo, the vivo V70 Elite will sport a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 4.1 storage. The core specs for the vivo V70 were not revealed, but expect the difference to be the chipset. Due to vivo's habit of using both Qualcomm and MediaTek chips, the vivo V70 might have a Dimensity chipset.
Major features
What we do know is that both models will have the same camera setup. There will be a 50 MP ZEISS OIS Main Camera (Sony IMX776) featuring a large 1.6cm sensor, a 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto Camera (Sony IMX882) with 3x optical zoom, and a standard ZEISS Ultra Wide-Angle Camera. On the front is a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie Camera offering an ultra-wide 92° FoV.
Battery-wise, the vivo V70 series smartphones pack a 6500mAh BlueVolt battery. It gives the two phones a slimmer profile and up to 40 hours of video playback. vivo also added support for 90W fast charging and bypass charging, so you can play games without worrying about extra heat from the battery being charged.
Other highlights:
- IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance
- A 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED Display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 5000 nits peak brightness
- AI features, such as AI Audio Noise Eraser and AI Petal Shower Portrait
Expected Malaysian launch date
As a reminder, the vivo V60 series first launched in India on 12 August 2025, before releasing in Malaysia on 26 August 2025. If vivo sticks to this two-week gap, we can expect the vivo V70 series to launch here before or after CNY.
