The big vivo launch introduced three new devices for mobile enthusiast. There's the fancy vivo X Fold 2 and the massive vivo Pad 2, which are devices of larger sizes that are great for entertainment. But there's also the vivo X Flip, the company's first clamshell foldable phone.

As announced on Weibo, the vivo X Flip is a foldable smartphone with flagship specs. It houses a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage for all your photos and videos. Also, it packs a 50MP main camera with a Zeiss T lens and optical image stabilisation. Other hardware specs include a 32MP front camera, a 4400mAh battery, and a hinge with a rated folding lifespan of 50 million folds.

For features, the most notable one would be the secondary display. Like what we've come to expect from clamshell foldables, the vivo X Flip sports a 3-inch cover display. This one has a horizontal orientation, making it better for landscape shots or selfies without unfolding the phone. vivo also claimed that the phone's UI allows it to be use like a digital camcorder, which should be useful for people who want to take videos or vlogs.

The vivo X Flip is available in two variants, one with 256GB of storage and another with 512GB of storage. They're priced at 5999 yuan (~RM3874) and 6699 yuan (~RM4326), respectively.
