Today, vivo Malaysia announces the pre-order availability of the vivo X Fold 5. Starting 29 July 2025, Malaysians can pre-order vivo’s latest flagship foldable in a 16GB+ 512GB model, priced at RM6999 via vivo’s official site.
Pre-order Details
From 2 August to 1 September 2025, select vivo Concept Stores nationwide will roll out a lineup of limited-time promotions, spanning flexible instalment options and trade-in rebates. Customers can enjoy up to 24 months of interest-free instalment plans through selected banking and e-wallet partners:
- Affin Bank: RM100 rebate + 5x AFFIN Rewards Points (first 100 cardholders only)
- Pay Later by Grab: RM60 off (minimum spend RM550) + 0% instalment for up to 4 months (ends 30 Sept)
- SPayLater: Up to 12 months instalment (1.5% monthly fee applies for plans ≥3 months)
Trade-In Bonus
Not only that, customers can also redeem up to RM200 in rebate when trading in selected devices. Do note that the final value depends on your phone’s condition and eligibility. Also, trade-in rebates are available at all outlets, but are limited to approved models.
Recapping the Tech Specs
Starting with the folding display, it is 8.03 inches when unfolded. The LTPO flexible AMOLED supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness up to 4500 nits, whereas the outer LTPO AMOLED display is 6.53 inches with the same refresh rate and supports Dolby Vision.
The X Fold 5 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (4nm), alongside LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, as well as running on OriginOS 5, based on Android 15. Another highlight is the 6000mAh dual silicon-carbon "BlueVolt" battery cell with 80W wired and up to 40W wireless fast charging capacity.
All the cameras are Zeiss-tuned, such as the triple 50MP camera setup (including the ultrawide and telephoto lenses), alongside the dual 20MP front cameras (inner and outer). The X Fold 5 has some water and dust resistance ratings, using an IPX8 and IPX9+, and IP5X ratings, including the capability to fold underwater to 1m.
