A few years ago, brands used to have a product lifecycle of around a year. But the industry is ultra-competitive, so it's not a surprise that some brands churn out new models faster. For vivo, it has a new X series already on the way.
According to 91Mobiles, the vivo X80 series will launch as early as February 2022 in India. From experience, many brands consider India a priority market for the release of entry-level or mid-range smartphones. But if it's a flagship, vivo might choose to launch it in China first.
Will vivo keep the same design aesthetics?
In terms of specs, the vivo X80 will allegedly come with a Dimensity 2000 chipset. It's also expected to have a 120Hz AMOLED display and a triple camera at the back. The main camera is a 50MP sensor with 5-axis stabilisation, while another one would be a 12MP telephoto camera. It's also rumoured that the vivo X80 Pro would have an under-display front camera. Unfortunately, there were no other details in regards to the vivo X80 series.
The February 2022 launch window sounds possible, considering that the source is a rather reliable one. But the lack of details means that you should still take it with a grain of salt. For now, we'll keep an eye out for more updates on the vivo X80 series, so do stay tuned to TechNave.com.
