vivo Y100 release: Dimensity 900 SoC, 90Hz AMOLED panel and 44W charging at ~RM1331

vivo has launched its latest Y-series mid-range offering in India, the vivo Y100. Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 900 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM, read on to find out the full specs and features of the device. 

According to the official vivo India’s website, the 8GB RAM can also be virtually extended by up to 8GB by utilising the smartphone’s 128GB storage. In terms of display, the Y100 sports a 6.38-inch 90Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400 x 1800 (FHD+), peak brightness of 1300 nits and supports DCL-P3 wide colour gamut as well as HDR10+.

The display also has a water drop notch which houses a 16MP selfie camera. Speaking of cameras, the Y100 features a 64MP main camera with OIS paired with two other 2MP sensors and a flash at its rear. 

In terms of battery, the device has a 4500mAh cell with support for 44W FlashCharge via the USB-C port. Other notable specs include 5G connectivity, a microSD card slot, dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.2, Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 OS, a 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-res audio certification and an IP54 rating.

The device weighs 181g and is only 7.73mm in thickness. It is available in Metal Black, Twilight Gold and Pacific Blue colours, with the Twilight Gold and Pacific Blue models capable of changing colours when exposed to sunlight. In India, the Y100 is available in a singular 8/128GB configuration at Rs24,999 or ~RM1331.
