Today, vivo Malaysia is introducing another budget-friendly smartphone called the vivo Y12A. Priced at just RM529 only, it will be released tomorrow (26 June) at every vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, collaboration partners, vivo E-store, and vivo official flagship stores on Shopee and Lazada.
Not much is known about the vivo Y12A but here are the tech specs. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 chipset, as well as 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM setup. Like any budget-friendly phone, it has a big 5000mAh battery with AI power-saving technology which can be used up to 17.4 hours of online HD movie streaming from a full charge (according to vivo). There's no fast charging support but it has a 5W reverse charging function.
On the exterior, it features a 6.51-inch Halo FullView Display with HD+ resolution. For those concerned, the display also supports Eye Protective mode that filters out harmful blue light. Additionally, the vivo Y12A comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner together with the power button. There is a Multi-Turbo 3.0 feature as well, but we doubt it would make that much of a difference with the given chipset.
