Today, vivo announces the availability of the vivo Y17s here in Malaysia. It was initially released in Singapore for SGD 199 but we can now get it for just RM599 only. Interested customers may get the phone now at vivo Malaysia's official online estore, Shopee, Lazada and TikTok stores.
To recap the tech specs, the Y17s features a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset and there's only one memory variant - 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. On top of that, it has a 5000mAh battery park that supports 15W charging and runs on Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13. An extra 6GB Extended RAM also exists so you can turn it on to get up to 12GB of RAM in total.
On the other hand, the LCD panel is 6.56 inches and supports 720p resolution. The 8MP front camera is hanging out on the top centre of the display as a dewdrop cutout, whereas the 50MP primary camera on the back is accompanied by a secondary 2MP sensor. Users would be happy to know that the Y17s allows microSD extensions but don't expect any NFC and 5G connectivity on it.
