vivo Y18 4G release - 90Hz LCD and 50MP main camera from ~RM511

vivo has released a new affordable smartphone in India, the vivo Y18 4G. Featuring some compelling specs at a low price, read on to find out more about the device.

Under the hood, the Y18 4G is powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC paired with 4GB RAM and either 64 or 128GB of storage. There’s also a 5000mAh battery with support for 15W charging via the USB-C port.

Display-wise, it’s a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD with an HD+ resolution, 840 nits peak brightness and a water-drop notch housing the 8MP selfie shooter. At the rear, you’ll find the 50MP main camera paired with a secondary shooter. 

Other notable specs include an IP54 rating, Android 14 via FunTouch OS 14, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM + microSD card hybrid slot, Bluetooth 5.0 and colour options of either Space Black or Gem Green. 

In India, the Y18 4G starts at INR8999 or ~RM511 for 4/64GB and INR9999 or ~RM568 for 4/128GB. vivo has yet to reveal global availability for the device, so stay tuned to TechNave for the latest developments on this and more trending tech news.
