vivo Y29 5G release - Dimensity 6300 SoC, 120Hz LCD and 5500mAh battery from ~RM737

vivo has released its latest mid-ranger in India, the vivo Y29 5G. Featuring some competitive specs for the price, read on to learn more. 

Under the hood, the Y29 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with up to 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Meanwhile, the battery is a 5500mAh cell which supports 44W charging via the USB-C port.

Screen-wise, it’s a 6.68-inch 120Hz LCD with a 1608 x 720p resolution, 1000 nits peak brightness and a centre punch-hole cutout housing the 8MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a 0.08MP secondary sensor. 

Other notable specs include dual SIM and microSD card hybrid slot, 5G connectivity, an IP64 rating, Android 15 via Funtouch OS 14, Bluetooth 5.4 and colour options of either Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold or Diamond Black. In India, the Y29 5G starts at INR13999 or ~RM737, with global availability yet to be announced.
