vivo has announced a new mid-range smartphone on its global website, the vivo Y29s 5G. Details of its price and availability are not available yet though, but the full specs and features are out.

Under the hood, the Y29s 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Battery-wise, it’s a massive 5500mAh cell which supports 15W charging via the USB-C port.

In terms of display, it’s a 6.74-inch 90Hz LCD with 570 nits peak brightness, HD resolution and a water-drop style notch housing the 5MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP shooter paired with a secondary 0.08MP sensor.

Other notable specs include dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC (only for the Malaysian variant), an IP64 rating, Android 15 via Funtouch OS 15 and colour options of either gold or green.

No release date or availability has been announced, though given the website specifically mentions that the Malaysian version of the device will have NFC, it’s pretty much confirmed that it’ll launch in our country soon. Until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
