vivo Y36c 5G release - Dimensity 6300 SoC, 90Hz LCD and 50MP main cam from ~RM548

vivo has just released a new entry-level smartphone in China, the vivo Y36c 5G. Featuring some compelling specs for the price, read on to learn more. 

Under the hood, the Y36c 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC paired with up to 12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Battery-wise, it’s a 5000mAh cell which supports 15W charging via the USB-C port.

Meanwhile, the display is a 6.56-inch 90Hz LCD with 840 nits peak brightness and a water-drop notch housing the 5MP selfie shooter. At the rear, the main camera is a 50MP paired with a secondary sensor. 

Other notable specs include 5G connectivity, an IP54 rating, 150% volume boost mode, dual SIM and colour options of either Moonshadow Black, Far Mountain Green or Rhombus Purple. In China, the Y36c 5G starts at CNY899 or ~RM548, with global availability yet to be announced.
