For many smartphone brands, the mid-range is probably where they have the most options available. Of course, we don't have any statistics on that. But vivo has been churning quite a few mid-range devices and the latest one launched is the vivo Y53s.

vivo quietly made the Y53s available on Jingdong yesterday. Likely a successor to last year's vivo Y52s, this model is only available in one variant. This variant packs a Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. Also, it has a large 5000mAh and supports 18 fast charging, so you can count on this to last for more than a day.

In terms of features, the vivo Y53s has a 6.58-inch FHD+ IPS display with a refresh rate of 90Hz. You'll also find a dual-camera setup that consists of a 64MP main camera and a macro lens at the back, as well as an 8MP front camera. On the right side are the volume rocker and power button, which has a fingerprint reader embedded into it.

The retail price for the vivo Y53s in China is 1799 yuan (~RM1158), which might seem a bit pricey for some people. But would you be interested in getting it? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
