When it comes to mid-range devices, we're spoiled for choices these days. vivo has plenty of good mid-range phones to choose from, and the Y70 series is among the most widely used in Malaysia. Now, there's a newcomer to the series called the vivo Y70t.

As spotted on the vivo China website, the vivo V70t was released in China yesterday. What's unexpected is that the phone is powered by a rather old chipset - the Exynos 880. Paired with that is up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. The phone will come with the Android 10-based FunTouchOS 10.5 out of the box.

While the chipset is old and not the most impressive, the other specs are relatively standard for a mid-range phone. This includes the 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS LCD, rear triple-camera setup (48MP+2MP+2MP), and one front camera (8MP). It also has a rather robust 4500mAh battery, as well as an 18W fast charger.

The vivo Y series is usually launched in Malaysia too, so we will see this model eventually. However, we don't know if it will have the same outdated chipset. Would you buy this if that's the case? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news on the latest smartphones.
