vivo Y72t 5G release: Dimensity 700 SoC, 6000mAh battery and 50MP dual-camera from ~RM923

vivo yesterday launched its latest offering in the budget smartphone segment, the vivo Y72t 5G. Part of the vivo Y-series, the device features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM.

Besides that, the Y72t also sports a massive 6000mAh battery capable of up to 18W charging. At its front, the device has a 6.58-inch 60Hz LCD display with a Full HD+ resolution with a waterdrop cutout housing a 8MP selfie camera.

Speaking of cameras, the Y72t also features a 50MP main + 2MP macro dual-camera setup at its rear. The smartphone is available in three colour options - Interstellar Powder, Deep Sea Black and Blue Sea.

Completing the specs list for the Y72t are a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, USB Type-C, Android 11 via OriginOS 1.0 and of course as the name would suggest, 5G connectivity. The smartphone is also relatively lightweight for having a 6000mAh battery at 200g.

For now, the Y72t is only available for purchase in China, with global availability yet to be revealed by vivo. Pricing-wise, the 8/128GB variant is sold for RMB1399 or ~RM923 while the 8/256GB configuration is RMB1599 or ~RM1053.
