vivo Y73t 5G release: Dimensity 700 SoC, 6000mAh battery and 44W charging from ~RM912

vivo has recently released the vivo Y73t 5G in China, the company’s latest offering in the affordable to midrange smartphone segment. Featuring the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset under the hood, there are also options for either 8 or 12GB of RAM.

According to vivo’s official Chinese website, the Y73t 5G sports a 6.58-inch LCD display with a full HD+ resolution and a standard 60Hz refresh rate. The display also has a waterdrop notch to house an 8MP front-facing camera.

As for the main camera setup, the Y73t features a 50MP main + 2MP macro dual-camera setup at its rear. The whole camera module is rectangular and has an LED flash.

Besides that, the device is powered by a massive 6000mAh battery which supports 44W fast charging via the USB-C port. As for colour options, the Y73t comes in either black, blue or orange. 

Other notable specs of the smartphone include a 3.5mm audio jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Android 12 via OriginOS Ocean, 5G connectivity and dual-SIM. In China, the Y73t is priced at CNY1399 or ~RM912 for the base 8/128GB model, CNY1599 or ~RM1045 for 8/256GB and CNY1799 or ~RM1176 for the top-of-the-line 12/256GB configuration.

As of the time of writing, vivo has yet to reveal whether the smartphone will be made available outside of China. If it comes to Malaysia, would you be interested in purchasing the device?
