The last vivo device under the NEX series was the vivo NEX 3S 5G
Last week, patents for new vivo NEX devices were spotted online. vivo may have begun working on a few new devices, three of which would have a flexible display. While there are no details yet, sources claim that one of them could launch in 2021.
According to Ice Universe, vivo won't be launching the vivo NEX 5 series this year but the NEX Fold instead. However, Ross Young (CEO of DSCC) claimed that the NEX Fold would only be out in January 2021. So is it launching in 2021 or 2022? Well, vivo could be aiming to reveal its new foldable device within this year, but it won't be available till January 2022.

Besides the possible launch window, Young also claimed that the vivo NEX Fold would have the largest in-folding display. For reference, the devices with the large foldable displays are currently the Xiaomi Mi Mix Fold (8.01-inch) and Huawei Mate X2 (8-inch). In that case, the NEX Fold's foldable display will have to at least be 8.02-inch, if not larger.
Hopefully, vivo could also reveal the NEX Roll and NEX Slide in 2021. These seem like they could be more interesting than the foldable one, but what do you think? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
