vivo iQOO appeared live and it's not a foldable gaming smartphone

Just last week, vivo teased a new brand called iQOO (pronounced as eye-coo) and it was dubbed as the new gaming lineup for the company. Supposedly, it was also hinted to be a foldable smartphone as well with the recent rumours but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore, as it has already been shown by a TV presenter in China.

The iQOO smartphone was shown live on the TV screen during an NBA All-Star Game event. Instead of the foldable capability that was "teased", the smartphone turns out to be a normal looking device, along with a triple rear camera setup and the iQOO logo there. It's a bit interesting to see the logo placed in such a manner, it basically suggests that the phone is more of a camera-centric smartphone because Huawei and HONOR do the same thing as well, which vivo has never really done as they are always focusing on the selfie aspect.

On the other hand, the back has no rear camera and it has been confirmed that the phone will have an in-display fingerprint sensor. According to the presentation, the feature is already the sixth generation technology so it has a faster unlocking speed and better security. Besides that, iQOO could sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor and 8GB of RAM.

So what do you think about the phone so far? Should vivo really branch out to the mobile gaming market? Stay tuned for more vivo news at TechNave.com.
