A new report suggests that vivo might include 200W fast charging in a future flagship smartphone. Not long ago, the company was said to introduce 100W phone instead, but it seems like it's aiming for something more ambitious. Now, it makes us question which smartphone will be the lucky one to get the feature.

The news came from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station. Besides that, the same post on Weibo also mentioned the device will be backwards compatible with 120W, 80W, and 66W charging from the company. It's known that vivo still provides its customers charging bricks with new smartphones. Therefore, it might pack one with lower charging capacity rather than 200W. Furthermore, the tipster also shared that the battery supporting the technology will be larger than 4,000mAh.

The source says that vivo X80 Pro+ might be the device, but there's also a high chance for the vivo X90 Pro to get it first. If nothing goes wrong, the vivo X90 series will arrive by the end of this year by following the usual launching schedule for the series. No matter which gets it first, we will still see the 200W device in 2022, providing that this report is accurate.

It's exciting to know that we're approaching the era of 200W charging this fast. What do you think about the article? Share your thoughts with us by leaving a comment, and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more smartphone reports.
