Recently this week, vivo showcased a couple of new tech innovations at the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2025 in Hainan. At the forum, a new vivo MR headset called vivo Vision was unveiled, 6G advancement was previewed there and the vivo X200 Ultra was the "Official Smartphone of Boao Forum for Asia".
When the session (vivo Release Moment) was held, Hu Baishan, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer at vivo, and President of the vivo Central Research Institute, delivered a keynote speech titled "Humanity in the Future of Technology by vivo". In his speech, he said robotics could be the future of the mobile phone industry. With this, vivo plans to look into creating a new experience by blending digital connectivity and physical capabilities.
He also revealed that the company has established the vivo Robotics Lab, leveraging on "BlueTech" experience in the AI fields, alongside the revealed vivo Vision for real-time spatial computing capabilities. With vivo Vision at the forefront of the expansion, the company plans to develop two core areas, the "brain" and "eyes" of robots. At the same time, vivo will focus on the consumer market, developing robotic products for personal and home use.
