Before 2025 ends in a few more weeks, vivo will be releasing its newest S50 series on 15 December 2025. It was confirmed on vivo's official Weibo account, with the S50 and S50 Pro Mini launching in China, with pre-orders already listed on some retail outlets.
The S50 Tech Specs
First, the standard S50 is expected to sport a 6.59-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The chipset is tipped to be the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, backed by up to 16GB of RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. Colour variants are reportedly four: Space Black, Confession White, Serene Blue, and Inspirational Purple.
On the imaging front, rumours point to a triple-rear camera setup which may include a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, along with a 50MP front selfie camera. For power, it likely supports 90W fast charging — though battery size hasn’t been definitively confirmed.
The S50 Pro Mini Tech Specs

The S50 Pro Mini seems tailored for those wanting a smaller footprint without compromising on performance. It’s rumoured to feature a 6.31-inch flat AMOLED display (also 1.5K, 120 Hz) and a 5500–6500 mAh-class battery. Under the hood, the Pro Mini reportedly packs the newly announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, plus LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Photography-wise, the device is expected to offer a horizontal camera bar — reminiscent of “slab-style” designs — with a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto, and more modest supporting lenses. Selfies may be handled by a 50MP front camera.
Additional perks include 90W wired + 40W wireless charging, IP68/IP69 dust-and-water resistance, an in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers, and a premium metal frame. Variants for Pro Mini are expected to include 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 512GB.
Will The S50 Series Come To Malaysia?
Given the predecessors' past launches in China, we think the S50 series is not coming to Malaysia at all. With the 15 December 2025 launch window just a week away, we have not read any SIRIM certification news of the S50 series.
And yes, we know what you all are thinking: the S50 series design is clearly inspired by the current iPhone 17 and iPhone Air designs. They still look quite nice, though. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
