Education Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin has reiterated that smartphones will continue to be banned in schools so as to curb gaming and digital devices addictions among students. This is despite the prevalence of these devices in primary and secondary students’ lives due to the Covid-19 necessitating online learning.
In fact, Radzi said that such a ban is actually more important now to ensure that students won’t use these devices for too long of a period, which will allegedly cause addiction. Speaking in Parliament, the Education Minister said that the ban of digital devices such as smartphones in schools among students have been enforced by his ministry since 2009.

The feature kicks off with a LadiesONLY Driver community, with another four categories to be added in the near future.
As the name would suggest, the LadiesONLY Driver community gives female passengers the option to ride with lady drivers and vice versa for a more comfortable ride. Users can now book a LadiesONLY ride by selecting the ‘Ride’ option on the airasia Super App.

Following the ongoing controversy over the GOS app throttling fiasco, Samsung CEO and vice chairman Jong-Hee Han has issued a formal apology to customers and shareholders. GOS, short for Game Optimisation Service comes preinstalled on the company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S22 series and has been caught intentionally limiting the device’s performance.
Han said that Samsung has failed to appreciate its customer’s concerns before bowing in apology. This happened during the company’s annual shareholder’s meeting yesterday.

Selangor State Local Government, Public Transport and New Village Development Committee chairman, Ng Sze Han today revealed that a total of 613 illegal telecommunication towers were built in the state over the past decade. Speaking in the Selangor State Legislative Assembly (DUN), Ng said that action will be taken against the owners of these towers, including the issuance of demolition notice for the illegal structures by the end of March.
Furthermore, Ng, who is also the assemblyperson for Kinrara elaborated that the number was obtained from the Periodic Monitoring Operation and Site Audit report carried out in cooperation with Yakin Telesel Sdn Bhd (YTSB) last year. Ng was replying to a question by the Assemblyperson for Balakong, Wong Siew Ki who wanted to know the number of illegal telecommunication towers in Selangor, the effects on the state government’s revenue and actions taken about it.
