The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) today iterated that it has never sent an email regarding the 2022 Special Withdrawal application status to its members. This is after EPF members reportedly received fraudulent emails from irresponsible quarters claiming to be the statutory body and that they can check their application status via a malicious link attached to the email.
Shared on its official Facebook page, EPF reminded its members to stay vigilant and to not click on any website links that are suspicious. Furthermore, the statutory body also urged members to thoroughly check emails that they received before responding, so as to ensure that it is from an official channel and not a scammer.

Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram is reportedly planning to introduce in-app tokens as the virtual currency for its Metaverse. In fact, according to a report by Financial Times, employees of the company already have a nickname for the currency: Zuck Bucks.
The in-app tokens would be centrally controlled by Meta and is similar in concept to the popular children’s game Roblox’s Robux currency. Previously, several sources claimed that Meta was planning to use cryptocurrency called Diem as its virtual currency.

The Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (K-KOMM) yesterday denied the authenticity of an alleged PerantiSiswa application link which has gone viral on social media. Instead, the ministry stresset that the website is only an unofficial individual website and not from any official channel.
K-KOMM secretary-general Datuk Seri Muhammad Mentek further clarified that the application system for PerantiSiswa is currently under development. It will only be launched this 15 April.

Apple announced last month that Apple Stores and Apple Authorised Service Providers can now repair Face ID by replacing the TrueDepth Camera service part. Previously, iPhone users had to replace the whole device if they had any hardware issue with Face ID.
However, during the announcement, Apple said that the option was only available for iPhone XS or newer, leaving the 'OG' Face ID smartphone, the iPhone X out in the dark. Thankfully, the tech giant has rectified this and announced that iPhone X is now part of the repair programme.
