While medium format cameras usually comes with insane megapixel counts, there has yet to be a Sony-branded camera that utilizes medium format sensor, which is about twice the size of a full-frame sensor. This may change come Photokina, where rumour states that the Japanese company may launch a rival to Hasselblad and Phase One bodies.

For the mid-range market, Huawei just announced the new G9 Lite smartphone, that has a mid-range price, but with high-end design and features. It sits below the recently launched Huawei P9, but carries many design elements that is associated with the pricier brother. 

After the G9 Lite, Huawei has announced their next update to the MediaPad series, the Mediapad M2 7.0. The specs of the tablet screams out mid-range, but as we know today, even the mid-range devices today can outperform high-end devices of yesteryear.

The days of phones having just flat fronts may soon be over. While so far only Samsung and Vivo has curved screened smartphones, the former being the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the latter being the Vivo X5 Play, soon we may see more companies with curved displays for their smartphones. Reports suggesting that Huawei and Xiaomi will be the two new players to the curved screened market.
