While the title of most tech spec topping device in our books remains the Saygus V2, the recently released HTC J Butterfly 3 is also a very feature-filled as well. While it has been released for just Japan only, in terms of tech specs it packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 20MP Duo camera and a 5.2-inch display with 2K or quad HD resolution. It also packs in a 13MP front camera along with up to 32GB microSD, 4G LTE, NFC and WiFi a/b/g/n/ac. Oh, and it is both dust and water proof too. While it comes with a familiar design, the J Butterfly 3 has a plastic body which probably allows it to stay usable underwater. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details but since it is tied to a Japanese carrier we doubt that it will be coming to Malaysia any time soon.

Like all newly released smartphones, the LG G4 has finally been drop tested. Personally, we see no reason for such tests but it does show the difference in what kind of glass LG decided to go for, which was Gorilla Glass 3 and not the more drop resistant Gorilla Glass 4. The heights for the drop test are pretty much standard while the surface is a sidewalk stone. Still no news if LG Malaysia are going to bring in the LG G4 but it is already available at third-party sellers here in Malaysia. Check out the video for yourself in this article.

A new range of tablets could be coming from ASUS soon as leaks have appeared for the ASUS ZenPad 7 and ZenPad 8. Featuring a cross-thatch pattern and build very familiar to the ASUS FonePad 7, the ZenPad will supposedly come in 7-inch display and 8-inch display versions. Both will have a WiFi and 3G version, while the ZenPad 7 will be priced from 7999 RUB (RM570) to 8999 RUB (RM641). Tech specs for the ZenPad 7 include a 64-bit 1GHz quad-core Intel Atom X3 (or formerly known as SoFIA), 1GB RAM, 8GB / 16GB storage, 7-inch display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Bluetooth and a 3950 mAh battery. The ZenPad 8 on the other hand will get an Intel Z3560 or Z3530 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8GB / 16GB / 32GB / 64GB storage and an 8-inch display with 2048 x 1536 pixel resolution. Obviously, the ZenPad 8 is the more feature-filled despite it not having an actual Intel Atom X3 processor. No Malaysia released dates or pricing details yet but the ASUS ZenPad tablets are expected to get announced sometime in June during Computex 2015.

Despite not being mentioned alongside the Huawei P8 and Huawei P8 Max, it turns out that the Huawei P8 Lite is still a very real smartphone. According to one seller in Europe, they have a good amount of stock ready for sale going for 79999HUF (RM1061). Tech specs and features include a 1.2GHz octa-core Kirin 620 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5-inch display with 720p resolution, 13MP main camera, 5MP front camera and 2200 mAh battery. Unlike the Honor 4C which offers similar specs, the P8 Lite is thinner and comes with a more premium metal frame. Still no exact Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but according to an anonymous source, Huawei could be bringing in the Huawei P8 Lite for Malaysia soon. This could indicate a launch just for the Huawei P8 Lite here in Malaysia as our other sources have said that there will not be a Malaysia launch for the Huawei P8, which is due for a regional launch in Singapore this June 2015.
