The Huawei Honor 3C made a big splash with it's 2GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera when it first hit Malaysia at just RM499. Now, we could be seeing the entry-level version as Huawei have officially announced the Huawei Honor 3C Play Edition which is going for just CNY599 (RM308). Tech specs for this version include a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 5-inch display at 720p pixel resolution, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, dual-SIM support and Android 4.2. In terms of design, the Honor 3C Play looks more or less the same as the Huawei Honor 3C but for now, it seems like it is just for China. We expect it to arrive in Malaysia soon and shake up the entry-level market even further.

ASUS recently showed a teaser image of what could be their first Android Wear smartwatch, set for the upcoming IFA 2014 event on 3 September 2014. Recently, ASUS have revealed another teaser image, this time showing design sketches and notes. While there aren't any specific tech specs the design sketches show a curved display while the notes mention features like a "smooth shell" and "front camera" along with a "genuine leather" wrist band. Overall, it looks very nice and rumours indicate that it could be priced from $99 (RM313). This would definitely make it more attractive than many other smartwatches here, most of which are priced around RM899. No news yet on Malaysia release dates but we should find out more next week so stay tuned.

Device manufacturers often reveal new products rather unintentionally, especially when they're trying to promote something else. This seems to have happened recently with the upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact and also a still unnamed Sony Android Wear smartwatch. Neither of them have been announced yet and we still don't know details about tech specs and features, but it appears that both will be water resistant enough to bring to the pool. While there are no exact Malaysia release dates, the upcoming IFA 2014 event could be a great place to introduce them so we expect both to appear in the next few weeks.

Leaked plans of the Apple iPhone 6 have appeared showing very detailed tech specs and designs of the upcoming Apple Iphone smartphone. The pictures reveal many details, mainly that the upcoming Apple iPhone 6 will come in two models, the 4.7-inch display N61 and the 5.5-inch display N56. In terms of looks, it seems like the next Apple iPhone 6 smartphones will look almost exactly like the dummy models already leaked previously and will be quite thin at about 7mm. Other measurements incude 138.14 x 66.97 x 6.9mm and 112g for the N61.

It is no secret now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set for a reveal at their upcoming Samsung UNPaCKED event on 3 September 2014. However, it still doesn't showcase all of the new features that the Galaxy Note 4 may bring. A new teaser video from Samsung reveals that it could be all about the handwriting as it shows more streamlined note taking for those who like to write with the S Pen on their digital device. Rumours about a new LG G Watch 2 have been going about and LG have finally confirmed it with a teaser video for their LG G Watch R. The teaser reveals that the R in the name probably stands for Round, as the LG G Watch R will likely be a round smartwatch like the Moto 360. While it doesn't reveal actual tech specs, it does show features like a compass, notifications, fitness tracking and that the smartwatch will have a metal body. The teaser reveals it will also be coming at the upcoming IFA 2014 event in September 2014 so no specific Malaysia release dates or pricing just yet. While it hasn't been officially announced yet, OPPO Malaysia could be bringing the OPPO Neo 5 smartphone into Malaysia soon. The device has appeared at the OPPO Mobile Malaysia site and while the tech specs are more or less the same as the previous OPPO Neo smartphone, the new OPPO Neo 5 will offer 4G LTE. What is even more interesting is that the OPPO Neo 5 is set to be one of the most affordable 4G LTE smartphones in Malaysia, especially as it will be priced at RM598. While you can check our earlier review of the OPPO Neo, the tech specs for the OPPO Neo 5 are decidedly entry-level to midrange with a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB storage, 4.5-inch display with 854 x 480 pixel resolution, 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 1900 mAh battery. It will come with Android 4.3 and OPPO's gesture based ColorOS. While there are still no specific Malaysia release dates, we expect the OPPO Neo 5 to come as soon as next week.

The rumoured up and coming Huawei Ascend Mate 7 recently appeared at China's TENAA with two versions for the 6-inch display phablet. This confirms earlier rumours about two versions but it also offers some tech specs for the Huawei MT7-CL00 and the Huawei MT7-TL00. Nearly all of the tech specs and features are the same and this includes a 1.8GHz Octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 6-inch display with full HD resolution, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 4G LTE support. There seems to be a fingerprint sensor or rear control on the back as well but there aren't cutting-edge features like 3GB of RAM or a 2K display as was rumoured earlier. As usual, there were no details on Malaysia pricing or release dates but we expect all of that to come on 4 September 2014 during the IFA 2014 event. For some reason, this feels a bit like an anti-climax, considering that Huawei earlier teased about "shocking" devices to be revealed at the IFA 2014 so we're hoping that more will come.

The ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE (A500KL) has already been on the market for some time but we finally got some more concrete numbers from Dynamics Distribution. While ASUS Malaysia have yet to come out with the official announcement, the main distributor in Malaysia has revealed that the local ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE will be priced at RM709, making it one of the more affordable 4G LTE devices in the Malaysian market. They also revealed the full tech specs list for the ASUS ZenFone 5 LTE which you can see below:

LG Electronics recently announced that they will be revealing the LG L Fino and LG L Bello for the young and trendy at the up and coming IFA 2014. Despite being aimed at the entry-level market, tech specs and features for the two smartphones are quite high-end and come with features such as a rear key button and LG's UX user interface. Other notable features like the LG Knock Code, Touch & Shoot, Gesture Shot, Front Camera Light and QuickCircle case will also be included.
