For those of you wondering if the LG G Flex, the curved smartphone from LG, is just another concept render then rest assured that it is indeed real as it appears on video. Some tech specs and features for the LG G Flex so far seem to match that of the LG G2 which include rear-mounted buttons and a 13MP rear camera. The screen remains the same curved 6-inch OLED display that is concave from top to bottom. While it hasn't been mentioned yet, we're expecting the LG G Flex to have similar tech specs like a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and 2GB of RAM. Unfortunately, the video does not reveal Malaysia release dates or pricing, only that it may be officially announced in South Korea soon, which could place it sometime in November 2013.

While compatibility with just the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Note 10.1 2014 Edition is one of the main constraints of the Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch, this may no longer be the case as Samsung have announced that quite a few Galaxy devices are going to get compatible soon. This includes the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Note II as soon as they receive their Android 4.3 updates, which are currently being rolled out in phases. Following these are the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, S4 Active, Mega 5.8, Mega 6.3 and S4 Zoom. While the software update will again be released in phases, these devices will begin getting the update by the end of October. Bear in mind though that certain functions and features available for use on the Samsung Galaxy Gear will depend on the tech specs available to each device.

While we didn't get an Apple iWatch announcement yesterday, it doesn't mean that some people aren't still hopeful. For those of you looking at possibilities (Apple iWatch design team, hint, hint) Thomas Bogner came up with an awesome concept render design which looks like it would work great. The design looks a lot like the Nike Fuelband although we wonder if it is a bracelet like the Fuelband or the bottom part opens up like a latch. Quite a number of Apple iWatch smartwatch concepts have been cooked up already but with the iWatch supposedly set for a late 2014 release we're feeling a bit skeptical. As usual, since this is not an official Apple render or press image do take this with a pinch of salt. We admit it would be great if it did come true, but for now, check out the other iWatch concepts in this article.

The 2nd generation Apple iPad Mini also was recently announced but unlike the iPad Air, only gets the standard Apple name of Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display. Yep, finally, Apple has refreshed the iPad Mini with a Retina Display, fulfilling the demands of Apple iPad Mini tablet users around the world. But guess what, they've also added in a little surprise in the form of a brand new 64-bit Apple A7 processor with the M7 motion coprocessor. Again, no Touch ID fingerprint scanner under the Home button. Rather than talk about the thinner and lighter iPad Mini, Apple have instead chosen to talk about the obvious specs of the Retina Display. This is perhaps because the new iPad Mini with Retina Display is actually thicker at 7.5mm (the previous version was 7.2mm) and heavier at 331g (the previous version was 308g). This isn't so obvious when held in the hand, but if you line the two versions up together and look closely, you'll see the difference. Tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display include:
- 64-bit A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
- 16GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage
- 7.9-inch Retina Display (2048 x 1536 pixels, 326 ppi pixel density, LED-backlit, IPS, Multi-touch, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating)
- 5MP rear camera (autofocus, face detection, backside illumination, f/2.4 aperture) + 1.2MP FaceTime front camera
- Supports WiFi + Bluetooth + (4G LTE + GPS (Cellular version))
- Supports dual microphones + dual antennas
- 134.7 x 200 x 7.5mm | 331g / 341g (Celluar version)
- 10 hour battery
- Apple iOS 7

Apple recently announced the latest version of their Apple iPad tablet. Not very keen on numbering this 5th generation tablet either, Apple have called it the iPad Air mainly because it is much thinner an lighter than previous versions. While it has the same 9.7-inch Retina Display, the iPad Air has slimmer bezels and a thinner overall look, confirming earlier rumours and leaks that it would look more like the iPad Mini. While it doesn't have any Touch ID fingerprint scanner it does pack in the new 64-bit Apple A7 processor and chipset with M7 coprocessor making it as powerful as the Apple iPhone 5S. Other tech specs and features for the Apple iPad Air include the following:
- 64-bit A7 chip with M7 motion coprocessor
- 16GB / 32GB / 64GB / 128GB storage
- 9.7-inch Retina Display (2048 x 1536 pixels, 264 ppi pixel density, LED-backlit, IPS, Multi-touch, Fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating)
- 5MP rear camera (autofocus, face detection, backside illumination, f/2.4 aperture) + 1.2MP FaceTime front camera
- Supports WiFi + Bluetooth + (4G LTE + GPS (Cellular version))
- Supports dual microphones + dual antennas
- 169.5 x 240 x 7.5mm | 469g / 478g (Celluar version)
