We've been quite excited with what the Huawei MediaPad X1 has to show us and we've since gone hands-on with the tablet smartphone. While sporting a 7-inch full HD screen, the overall design of the tablet is 80% screen to body placing it well above the other 7-inch tablet competition. Featuring 2.99mm super slim side bezels, the MediaPad X1 is also one of the most compact tablets available in Malaysia. At 7.18mm thin it is also one of the thinnest and thanks to it's aluminum alloy unibody chassis it is also very tough. For the full hands-on, check out the video in this article.

Most tablets today have 7-inch sized screens. However, for some people, adding on just another inch is more than enough to make a tablet device much better, which is why ASUS have come out with the ASUS MeMo Pad 8 (ME180A), which is a Wi-Fi capable tablet with a larger 8-inch screen we found to be very capable indeed. Does it fulfill your needs for something just a little bit bigger? Check out our review of the ASUS MeMo Pad 8 below for all the details.

We managed to check out the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 hands-on at the launch event yesterday and found that yes, these are indeed the thinnest and lightest tablets from Samsung we've seen and held yet. At just 298g the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 feels like a toy for it's size and while the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is a bit heavier at 467g it is still super light for how big and awesome looking the screens are on both tablets. Both come in dazzling white and titanium bronze, which more or less means white plastic with gold metallic trim and black plastic with gold metallic trim. The backside follows the same perforated design as the Samsung Galaxy S5. Build quality is very solid despite both feeling super light but we have to say that it felt more rounded than completely flat. The tablets are running Android 4.4.2 and as expected of them, the main feature is their Super AMOLED screens. Check out the pics and video in this article for yourself.

The age of 64-bit smartphones is upon us as a Samsung smartphone featuring the model number SM-G510F was recently seen at GFXBench packing the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 which is one of the new range of 64-bit processors and chipsets from Qualcomm. These tech specs include a 4-inch display with 540 x 960 pixel resolution, 1GB RAM, 8GB storage, 8MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. The benchmark reveals performance on par or better than the Motorola Moto G, which could indicate this is a smartphone meant for the masses and not the midrange. No news on Malaysia release dates, pricing or even a name yet so stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.

The Acer Iconia A1-830 tablet was recently launched in Malaysia by Acer Malaysia. Bearing the same metal unibody and looks as the Apple iPad mini, the main differences between the two are that the Iconia A1-830 packs in a 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2560 processor and uses Android. To top it all off, Acer Malaysia are pricing the tablet at RM599 so if you've liked the way Apple made the iPad mini design but wanted an Android system with a more stable Intel processor, then this is certainly one tablet you should consider. We managed to get a hands-on with the Acer Iconia A1-830 and it certainly looks good.
